Cameroon, a tropical equatorial country formed from approximately 250 ethno-linguistic groups with a surface area of 470.000km², a population of 16 millions and Christianity & Islam are the main religions. Situated in the heart of Africa between latitudes 40 & 60 north of the Equator, has always been referred to so justifiably; as Africa in miniature and the Central African Sub-region’s breadbasket. Her original inhabitants where various ethno-linguistic groups of short stature collectively known as ‘Pygmies’ and also a meeting point of cultures as far back as 8000BC. The Government strong focus today is to enhance the international reputation of the country’s tourism sector. Internally there is increasing awareness of Cameroon tourism’s role as a productive sector and its potential to attract visitors from the international market. However, this beautiful country, blessed with enormous economic potential of all sorts, has also experienced colonization by the German, British and French. Is scarcely known to the international community and is still undiscovered destination. The tourism potential of the country is greatly considerable as a mass tourism destination and is ripe for international recognition. This single nation offers; rich cultural heritages, wildlife safari in savannahs & rainforest regions, rare species of birds, the few gorillas, go hunt games, go fish games, the highest mountain in west & central Africa, crater lakes, natural beaches with colorful sand, water falls, primary & secondary rainforest reserves and baaka pygmies.
